Facade Moulding (Söve) Sand
Söve sand is washed, screened silica sand with a controlled particle-size distribution, used in the production of exterior facade mouldings (söve) and decorative architectural elements. It ensures a homogeneous mix and a smooth surface in manufacturing.
A söve (facade moulding) is a cladding element that provides both an aesthetic appearance and thermal insulation on building exteriors. The silica sand used in moulding production increases the durability and stability of the coating surface with its high SiO₂ purity.
Silica sand has excellent compatibility with EPS/XPS polystyrene foam; it prevents the risk of separation and cracking. Its homogeneous grain structure prevents rippling and segregation on the moulding surface. Thanks to its low dust and clay content, the risk of cracking is reduced, surface smoothness increases and paint and coating adhesion improves.
Söve sand is naturally in beige, cream and white tones and has colours suitable for moulding production. Its balanced grain structure creates a natural and aesthetic texture on decorative moulding surfaces. Water-based paints penetrate the moulding structure effectively, and it can easily be painted in different colours.
