Filter Sand

Filter Sand Product Description
Silica sand is the most preferred medium type in filtration in terms of grain structure and fraction control. Selecting the right fraction in filters provides balanced flow, superior retention performance, a lower tendency to clog and more effective cleaning during backwashing.
At Seyman Maden, we position our filtration products with quality parameters aligned with TSE approaches. Our filter sands are washed, dried and screened. They do not dissolve or lose mass in acid tests. Because they have high abrasion resistance, they offer long-lasting solutions in filtration.
Rapid sand filters generally operate in the 0.800–1.200 mm filter sand range with a backwash system. In slow sand filters, finer-grained sand (0.3–0.5 mm) is bedded over gravel layers. The appropriate fraction should be selected according to the chemical structure and pollution level of the water. You can contact our expert team for detailed technical support and the correct fraction selection.
